Sayer suffers another bad break

Whitstable Town's 2-1 victory over their Southern League neighbours Sittingbourne last night was marred by a horror injury, writes Stephen McCartney.

Brickies' scorer, Peter Sayer, sustained a broken leg on half time, following an ordinary looking challenge.

This is the second time in three years that Sayer has broken his leg.

He has just completed his first season back following the last break.

Meanwhile, all proceeds from the 400+ gate, some £1938, was donated by the Kent League club to local former Whitstable Town committee member and local player Roger Wilkinson, who has been diagnosed with Motor Neuron disease.
