Halsey new first team coach at VCD Athletic

Simon Halsey has been promoted to the position of first-team coach at Go Travel Kent League club VCD Athletic reports www.nonleaguedaily.com

Roy Passey decided to step down during the summer, although he still remains at the club.

Halsey joined VCD Athletic during last season as reserve team coach from Thamesmead Town.  He is currently taking his UEFA “A” badge, and made an immediate impression with his coaching techniques.

Manager Andy Ford hopes a new face and ideas in the first-team set up will help regenerate the players for the forthcoming season.

Meanwhile, the groundshare deal with Kent League rivals Lordswood, has been approved by both clubs and the Kent FA to enable the first team to play at North Dane Way, Walderslade, Chatham as work begins at VCD’s ground at Old Road, Crayford.
