Mead announce new youth team management trio

THAMESMEAD TOWN are pleased to announce their new Under 18 MUSH Kent Youth League management team, writes Stephen McCartney.

The Bayliss Avenue outfit have appointed Peter Burke and Lee Heywood as joint-managers with first team skipper Pedro Knight assisting.

Speaking of the appointments, first team manager Paul Blade told the club's website: "It looks a very good management team.

"Firstly I would like to welcome Peter Burke to the club from VCD Athletic, where he was the first team assistant manager and has been there a long time, but he thought he needed a fresh start.

"Peter's experience will be very valuable to Lee and Pedro, who are both starting their first real managers jobs in senior football.

"We as a first team needed to get the youth side coming into the reserve team and the reserve team pushing through to the first team and now with two new sets of managers, I think we are going in the right direction."

The Mead, however, are starting their search for players for the team.  Players that are of Kent Youth League standard and willing to start pre-season training with the team, should email  keith@maine-plc.com
