Former Chatham manager signs for Slade Green
Slade Green boss Phil Miles has pulled off major two coups by securing the signings of his namesake Phil Miles and Peter Coupland from Chatham Town, writes Stephen McCartney.

Coupland and Miles both resigned from their post as manager and assistant manager of Chatham Town recently.
Miles was introduced as a second half substitute in Saturday's game with Beckenham while Coupland was amongst the crowd and is expected to complete a transfer from Chatham later this week.

Both players were members of Tommy Sampson's treble winning side at Herne Bay before going onto follow Tommy at Deal. Miles was also a Kent League winner with Faversham Town.

For Coupland it will be his second spell with The Green having originally signed for them in 1992 under the then manager Tod Dowling. During his first spell he netted 29 goals from 44 games before switching to Herne Bay.
