Morgan brothers reunited at Slade Green

Kentish Observer League side Slade Green have completed the first of their three festive signings as Tom Morgan has re-joined the club from local rivals Thamesmead Town, writes Stephen McCartney.

He returns to the Small Glen having left the club during the summer and made a handful of appearances for Paul Blade's first team squad at Bayliss Avenue.

But he has decided to re-join his brother Lee at Slade Green, having played a pivotal role for the club's second string last term, and looks set to go straight into the reserve team squad for their home game against Hythe Town on Saturday, 7th January.

Green are set to complete the signing of two more players before they tackle Paul Fisk's side at Reachfields Stadium next weekend.

Despite not having a game over the festive period, there was no rest bite for Green's players as they were involved in a training session on Tuesday morning at Bourne Road.

Starting at 9:30am, manager Phil Miles admitted it was a good work out.  He told the club's website: "The lads enjoyed it and it was nice to see several new faces on show."

Speaking about star striker Glen McTaggart's fitness, he added: "Glen is still a little sort but he is 99.9% certain to play at Hythe next Saturday."

Meanwhile, Wayne Baldacchino's reserve side will play local rivals Thamesmead Town in a friendly at Bayliss Avenue on Saturday, 31st December, kicking off at 11:00am.
