Breath of fresh air at Slade Green
by Robert Smith

Slade Green joint managers Terry Malin and Phil Miles' proposal to form a youth team for the forthcoming season was backed by the Committee at Slade Green's AGM recently.  Providing their application is accepted the club will take it's place in the Kent Youth League Central Division next season.  Jeff Ives, previously manager of Bexley League side Belvedere Sports was appointed Youth team manager at the meeting.

Another new face at the club is Robert Nelson who has been appointed first team coach. Robert was previously a player with Thamesmead Town before seeing his career cut short by injury.  Speaking at the meeting, both Malin and Miles admitted that Robert will bring a breath of fresh air to the coaching side and have already been impressed by some of his ideas for the forthcoming season.
