Changes made at Sevenoaks Town

AFTER fulfilling his ambition and bringing Go Travel Kent League Premier Division football to Greatness Park, Martin Young has announced his resignation as chairman of Sevenoaks Town Football Club, writes Stephen McCartney.

Several changes have been made within the structure of the Greatness Park outfit, and Young said: "I have achieved my ambition and have taken the club into the Kent League.  I have taken the club as far as I can and new blood is needed to take the club further."

Young, who also played for the club, was thanked for his efforts over the years by his colleagues at the club.

Meanwhile, Graham Logsdon has stepped down as first team manager to concentrate on his role as club manager, overseeing all of the club's teams, particularly the club's youth sides.

He will be replaced by John James, who has stepped up as first team manager and Julian Leigh has been appointed his assistant.

The club's reserve team manager is now former first team assistant manager, Clive Edwards.  He will be assisted by former players, Trevor Franklin and Colin Isaacs.

The "A" Team will be managed by Barney Kennett and Greg McKay.

Send in your club's news to Stephen McCartney, and we will publish it:
