Jim Ward returns to Ramsgate
Go Travel Kent League side Ramsgate have announced following a disappointing series of results, Jim Ward has been appointed as their new first team manager, writes Stephen McCartney.

Ramsgate chairman, Richard Lawson, said: "Jim Ward has won every trophy going at Kent League level at least twice in the last four or five seasons, either with Ramsgate or more recently Maidstone United.  He is inheriting the nucleus of a team capable of great things which, with his experience and knowledge of the game, should be able to move towards promotion in the not-too-distant future."

Ward parted company with Maidstone United in the middle of December after two very successful seasons.

He returns to the hot seat he vacated three years ago, and will be hoping to steer the team to similar successes to those he enjoyed at Southwood Stadium in that previous five year spell with the club.

Ward will be assisted by Mark Harrop, who was recently moved from the reserves to help caretaker manager Lee Bosson, who had been in charge of the first team since Peter Hook's departure last autumn.
