Maidstone search for new sponsors

Go Travel Kent League club Maidstone United have announced that they had severed their agreement with their main sponsor, KF Concept, writes Darrell Lovell.

The two-year agreement that still had six months to run came to a premature end due to KF Concept’s inability to meet the financial terms of the arrangement.

Chairman, Paul Bowden-Brown said: “It is with regret that the club has to make this decision, but with all the indecision surrounding KF Concept’s forthcoming court case and the freezing of all of their assets, it has had a huge detrimental knock on affect on our football club’s finances and we do now need to call an immediate stop and urgently look elsewhere for a new main sponsor to assist us over the months ahead in our move back to the Borough and into our new stadium.”

KF Concept became the club’s main sponsor in July 2003 and proved to be a very generous sponsor, also agreeing to sponsor additional events and showed a keen interest in being involved in the building of the new stadium.

Bowden-Brown added: “I would like to place on record my personal thanks to KF Concept for the support they gave our club, say how disappointed I am that they were not able to complete the sponsorship and I cannot emphasis what a problem this has caused and how important it is that the club finds a replacement to fill the void as soon as possible.”
