Slade Green capture Dockers trio

Slade Green have completed the signing of renowned Kent League goal poacher Glen McTaggart from their local rivals Erith Town, writes Stephen McCartney.

The black haired hitman notched 17 goals last season for the Dockers and just missed out on winning the Kent League Golden Boot standings in the 2003-04 campaign with 23 goals.

The striker is one of three players to have made the switch from the Erith Sports Stadium to The Small Glen along with Aaron Heyrattin and Alan Hanlon.

The highly-rated Heyrattin was a transfer target for the Green last season and looks set to take the central defensive position vacated by Dean Kearley, who has returned to league rivals Thamesmead Town.

Meanwhile, the experienced Hanlon has returned to the Green for this season , having previously played under Steve Wait during the 1999-2000 campaign.

The tough tackling Hanlon is equally at home in defence or midfield and will add a wealth of Kent League experience to the side.

Due to the recent departure of Jeff Ives and Steve Kemp, Slade Green are looking for a new manager to take charge of their reserve team this season.
