Thamesmead sign duo from Cray

Go Travel Kent League side Thamesmead Town have announced the capture of Adam Heaslewood and John Mayall from Ryman League Division One side Cray Wanderers, writes Stephen McCartney.

Speaking on the club's website, Thamesmead manager Paul Blade admitted: "They are two big signings for the club.

"Both players are very good and have a lot of experience playing at this level, and that's what we need at the moment."

Heaslewood plays in the middle of the park and former Tunbridge Wells player Mayall plays at centre back.

Blade added: "Both players will be big additions to our squad and things are looking positive for the club on and off the field at the moment.

"I am also expecting a couple of more new signings within the next seven days."

Both players will be in the squad for Saturday's confirmed trip to Deal Town.
