McDonald on verge of signing contract at Premiership club

DEAN McDonald, a player who has turned out for Beckenham Town's reserve side in the Go Travel Kent League second division, is on the verge of earning a contract with a Premiership club, writes Stephen McCartney.

The former Arsenal youngster, scored twice for Fulham against Crystal Palace in an under eighteen match recently and could be joining the Selhurst Park outfit for a trial once the third-year academy player's trial at Craven Cottage expires.

A Beckenham Town statement said: "Dean is a third year academy player and will have to be on top form if he is to secure a contract at Crystal Palace.

"Beckenham Town Football Club wish Dean every success at this next level."
