Place on the bench available for one lucky Tonbridge Angels supporter

Angel Aid campaign offers fantastic chance to play in pre-season friendly

TONBRIDGE ANGELS manager Tony Dolby has given supporters a chance of a lifetime by giving one lucky fan a place on the substitutes bench for their Courier Cup pre-season clash against Go Travel Kent League neighbours Tunbridge Wells on Saturday 31st July, writes Stephen McCartney.

But in order to do so, supporters must make bids to play in the ANGEL AID match the following day (3pm) when a Tony Dolby XI face a Mike Rutherford XI on the lush Longmead Stadium pitch, where supporters play with three Tonbridge players in each team.

ANGEL AID was set up when fan Peter Ide read an appeal on the club's internet message board earlier in the month from the club's chairman.

He has stepped in to help the newly promoted Isthmian (Ryman) Football League Premier Division outfit try to get out of their current financial difficulties.

All the bidders names from the ANGEL AID match will go into a hat and the lucky winner will get to play for Tonbridge Angels against Tunbridge Wells, playing a maximum of fifteen minutes at the end.

However, this is subject to Tunbridge Wells' confirmation and the winner meeting all necessary criteria laid down by any governing body.

This will be a fantastic bonus for any supporter who wants to turn out for his club.  Places for the ANGEL AID match on the Sunday are up for grabs for a minimum of £30 per place, but players must be over the age of sixteen.

To make your bid, please email Peter Ide on angelaid@ide206.fsnet.co.uk
