Winchcombe returns to VCD

Midfielder Kevin Winchcombe has returned to Go Travel Kent League Premier Division side from Dr Martens League outfit Erith & Belvedere on a game to game basis, writes Stephen McCartney.

VCD Athletic manager, Martin Ford was full of praise for visitors Slade Green following last Saturday's goal-less draw.

Ford said: "Slade Green came with a game plan and carried it out very well.  They looked like they had done their homework on us and with a bit of luck at the end could have taken all three points.

"It's not the setback people are saying, after all we have taken one point more than leaders Cray Wanderers last week from our two fixtures each."

Meanwhile, VCD Athletic have announced they have parted company with defender Terry Hodgkinson as he seeks to play more first team football.
