Burman angry with stay-away striker

Dartford manager Tony Burman is angry with his striker, Tostao Kwashi for not being available for the start of their Southern League campaign on Saturday, 13th August, writes Stephen McCartney.

Having assured Burman that he would be back in the UK at the end of July, and be available for pre-season training, it now appears that the club Kwashi has been playing for in Vietnam has won the championship and they are now involved in a cup final, in which the player is expected to be selected for, to be played in the next two weeks.

It also appears that the Zimbabwean international has signed a contract with this club until the end of August.

A statement issued on www.dartfordfc.co.uk said: "Manager Tony Burman is not at all happy with the situation as it now looks unlikely that Tostao will be available for at least the first two league games of the new campaign.

"And even when he does return the matter of obtaining International Clearance has still be to be resolved before he is able to play in this country."
