Ashford Town pull in
sponsors to Homelands
Local companies have backed Ashford Town Football Club as they prepare for the new Dr Martens League Eastern Division campaign.
Ashford based Kent Volvo dealer Lipscombe have agreed to continue their sponsorship of the matchday programme and website www.ashfordtownfc.co.uk for a further year.
General Manager Peter Young said: "I am delighted that Lipscombe's were continuing their support as were all the club's main sponsors. It showed that the club was moving in the right direction when highly reputable local companies wanted to continue with a commercial relationship."
Meanwhile, The Drake & Fletcher Group have agreed to sponsor the club's main stand at the Homelands Stadium for the coming season.
Drake & Fletcher are a well known and long established Ashford company who have recently acquired the Honda franchise for the area. The new sponsorship builds on the existing relationship with Honda who previously supplied a car to General Manager Peter Young.
Poynters Coaches will be
sponsoring the club's away travel in season 2003-2004.
Two years ago the club failed to attract sponsorship but realise this is a major source of income. Ashford Town now boasts seven major sponsors and more than forty local companies who advertise at the Homelands. Ashford Town, like many football clubs value the support of local companies who help maintain a team who play in the Dr Martens League.
