Ashford sign two new players

Two new players have signed for Dr Martens League Eastern Division club Ashford Town in the last week, both of whom made their debut appearances at Tonbridge Angels on Saturday.

Rob O’Hara is a goalkeeper signed from rivals Fisher Athletic who, apart from being an excellent shot-stopper, is also an imposing figure standing at 6’ 8”.

Tom Evans was a junior at Charlton Athletic and has been out of the game for a while but is looking to rebuild his playing career.

These new signings and the team performances over the remaining games this season will enable the management to plan for the start of next season when the proposed reorganization of the league structure will inevitably lead to many clubs reviewing their playing staff.

Several of the existing reserve team players who show promise will continue to be selected for the first-team in the coming weeks as such opportunities arise.
