Charalambous returns to Margate

Ryman Premier League draw specialists Margate can confirm newspaper reports that manager Chris Kinnear has re-signed Alexis Charalambous on a non-contract basis, reports www.margate-fc.com

Kinnear has also secured the services of a goalkeeper who will join on a one month loan period starting on Monday, 9th January, which will allow Charlie Mitten the rest time he needs to recover from injury.

After missing out of the signature of Folkestone Invicta striker James Dryden, who joined local rivals Dover Athletic, the Hartsdown Park club has now made another formal approach to secure the signature of a striker, and the club will keep supporters informed of the outcome.

The club has received a seven-day notice of approach from Ryman Premier League rivals Fisher Athletic for Charlie Taylor.

Meanwhile, a friendly match has been arranged for Monday, 9th January at Tonbridge Angels when Kinnear intends to provide match practice for the club's long term injured players and also to look at potential new signings.  A further friendly may be arranged for the following week against Dover Athletic.

Negotiations are taking place to re-arrange the league fixture against AFC Wimbledon at Hartsdown Park.  The South West Londoners are involved in a number of different cup competitions, which take priority over league fixtures.
